The first piano student I had when I moved here, is graduating this weekend. She has been a TRUE JOY to teach! She began piano lessons when she was in fourth grade and has taken through her senior year. I honestly can't remember a lesson for which she hadn't prepared. She is very talented. There were many times I didn't feel qualified to be her teacher. She is planning on majoring in music in college. I wanted to give her something special when I go to her open house tomorrow. Tonight I embroidered her name and music notes on a bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth. I haven't done a lot of embroidery and I never know for sure if my machine will cooperate or not. Sometimes at the end of the day, I don't have enough patience to work on a big project either. Tonight I was surprised at how well it all came together.
I love brown and blue together. I picked the ribbon first and found towels that matched the polka dots.

It was nice and quiet in the basement since Craig and Jack had gone to bed. I'm hoping to get some more gifts done this weekend. It's so much fun!
