I finally hung the chalkboard I made for the music room this week. It's slowly coming together.
I wanted a chalkboard for announcements and often want to show the students something that I need to write for them. I also try to do a question of the week that students can answer for a prize.
I bought an open back frame at Hobby Lobby. It was black. I rubbed on a little bronze paint over the black so the frame would stand out a little more from the black chalkboard. Craig picked up a piece of wood for me at Menards and cut it to fit. I painted it first with a metallic primer so that I can use magnets on it as well. Then I painted it with chalkboard paint. It will be so useful!
