We are staying busy this summer. Unfortunately, now it's crunch time! I can't believe we have started August. I still need to get some painting done, have a garage sale, and get organized for piano lessons before the 1st of September. It will happen, somehow. It always does.
In the last month, I have done some 4-H judging which was a lot of fun and I definitely want to do it again. I had been asked before, but always felt inadequate to do so. A county called me the week before they needed someone and sounded a little desperate. I agreed to do it. I loved it. It was so much fun. I totally felt in my element. I loved seeing the 4-Hers faces light up as I gave them a compliment or helped them see something they had learned. I judged the Fashion Revue event. This is where the 4-Her can either make or buy an outfit. They have to set a goal and then explain how they went about meeting that goal and what they learned. A lot of those I judged were part of the "$15 Dollar Challenge." The 4-Her could only spend $15 total on their outfit. Next year, if I get some letters asking me to judge, I will say yes!
This last month, I was also trying to complete a "Power Start" for my Mary Kay business. This is giving facials to 30 people. Almost everyone I had contacted, wanted to do it this last week. I did almost all 30 in one week. It was crazy. I don't want to do that every month. It is a lot of fun though!
Tonight I am trying to catch up on all the paperwork from those 30 faces. This all keeps me hopping!
